Lauren Spierer Was Thrown Out Of Bar — Alone — Not With Friend

Lauren Spierer Leaving Smallwood Plaza To Go Out For The Night

BLOOMINGTON, Indiana – Lauren Spierer was thrown out of Kilroy’s Sports Bar on the morning the Indiana University student disappeared, and she may not have been drinking at the bar with a friend, as had been first reported.

A person close to the case says Spierer was in a “stupor”  and that she “was pouring her heart out” about being drunk and high on Cocaine and Xanax.  This same person says Spierer was at Kilroy’s Sports for at least 45 minutes alone, not with her friend Corey Rossman. News reports to this point had placed Rossman with Spierer at the bar, but sources who were at Kilroy’s Sports at that time say they never saw Rossman.  This source says Spierer was ejected simply because of the state she was in.

Bloomington police confirm that Spierer and Rossman entered her apartment complex, Smallwood Plaza, at about 2:30 a.m.

Spierer’s apartment is just about a block from Kilroy’s Sports. This raises the possibility that Spierer met-up with Rossman on the street, between the bar and her apartment complex.

TonyGatto.com has spoken to a witness who tells of an inebriated girl fitting Lauren’s description in the company of an unknown male at  3:38 a.m on Friday, June 3 at the corner of  10th St. and College Ave.   At one point the man slung Lauren over his shoulder.

Police have not acknowledged the incident.

According to the witness, who works as a manager at a local bar, Lauren Speirer  was incoherent, her eyes nearly closed and at one point she fell and banged her head.

The witness describes the mystery man as dark-skinned, about 5 feet, nine inches, 160 pounds, defined facial bone-structure and pointed, thin, rounded sideburns.  She says he was wearing a polo-style shirt.

The witness has been interviewed by the Bloomington police department and was called-back for a second meeting in which a police artist drew-up a sketch.

The witness was shown a photo lineup and she says none of the six or so photos, presumably Spierer’s friends who have been named persons of interest, matched the mystery man.

The witness has viewed a  photo of Corey Rossman,  and she says she does not believe Rossman is the man who she saw with Spierer that night.

“She was completely out of it,” the witness told TonyGatto.com, “I had just come off work so I was totally sober. The guy was like, can I take you home, and she couldn’t even answer.”

The timing of the witness’s spotting is crucial.  She says she noted the exact time, for some reason, after she encountered Lauren.  She is adamant that it was exactly 3:38am. Bloomington police today released a timeline that places Lauren in an alley between 10th and 11th streets at 2:51 a.m.  with a man who they will not identify.  They say that is the last corroboration that they have of Lauren’s whereabouts.

  1. Makes sense for a a 20-year old to be drugged out after a supposed fight with the boyfriend. IU party school. But I so hate to hear this when thinking of her parents.
Look, Dude, if you have any knowledge of this I am sure you are reading everything possible on the case ………. it’s time to give it up. Your sentence, if you even get one, will not shorten your sentence, it will actually work against you. Coming forward may help you a lot.
Have the darn guts and call 1-800-Crime-TV. Give the parents a clue, any clue, and let them know about Lauren’s whereabouts.

  2. So what about the fact that Rossman, Rosenbaum and Beth all state that she was at their apartments until after 4:00a.m.; which would be after your witness saw her with the “mystery man”? Does anyone have photographs of Rosenbaum and Rohn? And Rossman doesn’t remember anything because of his taking a punch to the head, but an inhibriated Lauren walked him to his apartment? Do we see a problem here? She was aparently assisting him home???

    • It’s just Rosenbaum stating the time, not the others. Rossman was in bed and remembers nothing and Beth said she left to go elsewhere, which ended up being at Rosenbaum’s place. I wouldn’t trust his statement of time as I suspect he was imbibing in all sorts of stuff that makes his judgment suspect.

  3. and what do you mean she was “thrown out”? Who threw her out and why?

  4. I find the bar manager’s time to be believable. Is used to work late hours and I can assure you that I KNEW what time I got off. I think it’s more likely that the ‘boys’ are off.
I would think that if Rossman got beat up to a point where he needed assistance to walk home, BHAS would have been called to check him out. Either by police, bystanders, or himself. Most likely, he was trashed himself and him and Lauren stumbled to his apartment together. Only BPD would know for certain since they are apparently on the cam walking to his apartment.
I don’t think Rohn has Sideburns – but I failed to find a pic of Rosenbaum.

    • since mr. gatto doesn’t identify the bar manager or the bar at which she works, i’m sceptical. the bars here close at 3 and kick people out at 3:30, so what is she doing on the street already, particularly as a manager. i hope mr. gatto knows the bar at which the manager works and has checked at least their hours, if not their actual closing time for the specified night.

  5. Wait– you never say how you know she was KICKED out. You have people say she was there alone, but NOTHING referencing her being kicked out. Are you a sensationalist?

  6. How is it possible that this is the first time we are hearing any of this? If this was true, the police would have already released this information to the public.

    • Haha. BPD releasing information to the public. That’s hilarious.

    • There is TONS of information that is not made public. At this point I’m not sure if I should applaud Gatto for investigative journalism, or scold him for it. Depends if it helps or hinders the investigation. Revealing facts to the public to feed curiosity isn’t necessarily a good thing. On the other hand, Lauren has been missing for 2 weeks – no progress made – so maybe it can’t hurt.
I just hope Lauren’s parents know of this and approve of it ….

  7. Where is the boyfriend during all of this? She’s a VERY attractive young woman and he is unable to reach her on a Friday night. I gotta tell you that stride of hers coming out of her apartment does not appear to be a stride of someone inebriated. I know it’s just one still, but it appears to be a very determined “one foot in front of the other” stride.

  8. I’m thinkin “TonyGatto” is releasing unofficial information, you have to remember, there’s tons of red tape and burocracy involved with official police reports, if Tony Gatto if getting informacion from eye witnesses and employees, it’s something to keep in mind, but not fully rely on, mostly because he doesn’t have red tape or politically correct protocols to follow.

      • Sorry but it’s hard to take anything you say very serious, As I said you went to a tire place to have vehicle ID done? You should have contacted GM directly and spoken with someone who designs the trucks. And as someone stated you could very well be releasing information that is worthless and causing misdirection. You can haha at police all you want. But if your so good at getting info. Maybe you should be supporting them first, instead of your ego.

        Hi Randy, a few points.
        - I didn’t go to the tire and wheel to “have the vehicle ID done”. I went to the people who would know a lot more than me about trucks, and they did. Calling Chevy is a good idea, but I have to budget my time. Why don’t you make the call?
        - You say I may be releasing information that is worthless and causing misinformation. I stand by my information and my reporting. I’m confident I am not causing MIS-Information but have actually provided the MOST information.
        - “You can haha the police all you want” Show me where I’ve done this. Never have. Never will. I haha-ed the so-called reporter who talked about how Joe Qualters and BPD are releasing lots of information — which is simply not the case.
        - You assume that I am not supporting the police. That’s wrong. I am supporting them. My doing my job should not be confused with me not somehow wanting police to do their job — which is to find Lauren and anyone who may be involved in her disappearance.
        - Finally, for someone who thinks I’m an egotistical, bad reporter — you seem to paying pretty close attention to my website. And then you friended me on Facebook. Just sayin’.

      • Ok, so here we go, you say you support the police yet you did haha at them read your comment, weither it’s about them releasing information or not doesn’t matter, your still making negitive comments. And if you stand by your information not being misinformation. Why is it that you say you’ll remove anything that is incorrect. If your info is so good why must you delete it? Yeah I friended you on FB, to see what kinda info you were using there. What difference does that make? None you apparently knew who I was or just accept friend request no matter who it is. If you don’t like me remove me, block me whatever. And as far as the ego thing goes, I think you really need to read through what you post and count how many times you use the word “you” or talk about you. And all the links on the left of this page. Come on who are you kidding. Oh and yes you did go there for a vehicle ID, that’s excatly what you were hoping they would be able to do. Budget your time. In the time you spent there you could have contacted GM. And the “why don’t you call” simply shows that you don’t like people saying anything negitive about something you did. So you can reply and continue the blah, blah, about yourself. I’m done. Oh a person who works for GM did contact me and gave me the model and year. It took about 1 hour. But guess that was to much time for you to spend seeing how busy you are. Enough said, have a great life.

      • I know this isn’t the appropriate spot to post regarding this but….

That picture you have of the apartments in the top of this blog is wrongly identified. This picture is taken facing EAST, not west. It’s really an important fact and I thought you should know so you can fix it. It’s wrong the way you have it labeled.

  9. Where were here girlfriends that say they love her so much? Why is a young woman who is purported to have a HUGE circle of friends (FOX Interview) all alone on a Friday night? I just don’t get that at all. She’s twenty years old and social. Everyone is focusing on these boys but . . . . It’s summer, and near break, and these other girls just stayed home and crocheted while their friend left half conscious?

    • She was out on Thursday night, early Friday morning, not Friday night. Perhaps her girlfriends had classes on Friday and stayed in. Besides, it was summer session. A lot of students don’t even stick around Bloomington during the summer, narrowing her options for company that night.

      • I don’t think they had classes. IU never has classes on Fridays (pbuh). Some labs or meetings, sure, but not classes. Summer classes meet Mon & Wed and Tues & Thurs.

      • Clueful, you are an idiot. I’ve read all of your posts, and you seriously don’t know anything you are talking about. MANY IU summer classes are offered as Monday through Friday courses, especially during the first summer session, which is only 6 weeks long. The second session is 8 weeks, so there might be more classes offered 2-4 days a week during that session. Lauren went missing during first summer session. Don’t believe me? Check the schedule of classes (and by the way, a “D” next to the class means it meets daily): http://registrar.indiana.edu/scheduleoclasses/prl/soc4115/index.html

I should know. I’ve both taken AND taught summer classes at IU.

I am sick of reading things on here and other forums from people who clearly don’t take the time to check their facts and instead just say whatever information they think is ‘correct’.

      • Furthermore, the days of IU having “no Friday classes” are long gone. There are now many more classes offered M-W-F throughout the regular academic year than ever before. I cannot say with certainty why this is, but I have heard RUMORS (which I admit are rumors) that it was in an effort to curb a lot of the Thursday night drinking and partying that took place throughout the 90s and early 00s. The dream of “never having a Friday class after freshman year” is no longer viable for most IU undergrads.

    • Maybe she had a habit of going to extremes and was overly needy? Can get old after a while.

    • Maybe her friends are focused on studies and living cleanly rather than running around with random guys and getting blindingly drunk. I had a roommate like Lauren and I got fed up with her behavior after several times of cleaning her up and taking care of her after a weeknight bender.

    • It was a total setup job. They set her up that night. The fact that she was not with Wolff is VERY relevant in my opinion. This group had now turned on her but she didn’t know that the whole group was now against her so they used Rossman to set her up. Now, they have all conspired against her and that’s why there is no information because all of the perps involved are definitely not talking, nor will they ever talk because they are all involved. You can tell Hadar Tamir knows what happened.

  10. Well I can see why the police didn’t release this info. It totally puts a different face on the case & Lauren. The outpouring of support/ sympathy factor might of not occurred if people knew she was drunk and took cocaine and xanax, with a heart condition.

  11. what i meant to say was that since Gatto doesn’t have to stick to the rules of official police reports, your news are more raw, and you can provide with more information than BPD can.

  12. Dude, the Bloomington Police are involved in cocaine and heroin running, they work for the pharmaceutical and alcohol industry. There is no greater threat to Lauren Spierer than the Bloomington Police. They are the reason she is dead. And you expect them to tell you that? Rflmao!!!! Wolves guard the hen house people. Wolves.

  13. I hope police are investigating the source of Lauren’s (alleged) drugs. Seems to me they will be the ones who have the most to hide.

    • I’m guessing Rohn, based on zero credible information, honestly. He just looks and sounds like a dealer and was with her earlier in the evening. The way he was so obviously concealed by ALL involved, then shuttled out of town like the boyfriend, further convinces me.

  14. I know, off topic, but to think one of the IU student govt platform wants a medical exemption for those who drink or drug to excess so they don’t have to be held accountable.

    • Can you explain this? I haven’t heard about it. I know as a former IU student who was there during a time period when several other students died from alcohol or drug-related incidents, that is actually a good idea. The reason these people died was because their friends/fraternity brothers/etc. were too afraid to come forward and take the person to the hospital out of fear of getting caught with alcohol or drugs, and therefore the people died. If there had been some sort of exemption where the friends/fraternity/etc. wouldn’t get in trouble, I think some of those deaths certainly wouldn’t have happened because they would’ve felt comfortable enough to take the person to the hospital. I once got injured while underage and drinking, and my Greek organization questioned taking me to the hospital out of fear that our organization would get in trouble if the doctors found out I was drunk. That’s the mentality of college kids, like it or not. And like it or not, they are going to continue drinking, doing drugs, etc. so why not at least have a rule that allows them to get medical attention with no repercussions if they are in real need of medical help??

  15. What if she was the one who pursued Rossman and not the other way around? Does that change anything?

    • NO.

    • It doesn’t change the facts of the case or the bottom line but I find it useful to understand personality profiles, behaviors, etc. and to possibly answer some “Why?” questions. And I meant Rosenbaum, not Rossman fwiw. Lot of R’s in this group.

  16. Is there corroborating video of her entering and leaving Kilroy’s? Employees willing to go on the record? “Pouring her heart out” and being thrown out implies that a bartender, bouncer or someone in a capable position witnessed these events.

I so wish they would make this all public. I realize it is painful for the parents and embarrassing for the university, but for God’s sake, this is information that might have jogged memories or helped with finding this poor girl sooner. Nothing here points to anything good in finding her alive – if she ingested these kind of drugs with her heart condition, she most likely had an adverse drug interaction or her heart stopped. It also points to a massive cover up by several young men who didn’t want to see their futures ruined and are now in too deep to come clean. I hope her body is found soon so that a full tox screening can be made. I also hope that one of this inner circle cracks.

Mr. Gatto, are you at these news conferences? Can you ask about these reports on the record? Do you still have contacts inside the mainstream media that could put this stuff out there? I know BPD have referred to “rumors” of drug use and cover up, but as I look at the pain in Lauren’s parents’ eyes every day, it’s obvious that they pretty much know at this point what has happened to her. No one wants to think their kid is abusing prescription drugs, drinking to excess or hanging out with dubious people. Couple that realization that all of that has led to a situation where your child is unlikely to be found alive, and it’s no wonder these poor people look so crushed. My heart goes out to them – as you said before, no one deserves this.

  17. This is looking more and more like a domestic version of Natalie Hollaway in Aruba. And the Bloomington authorities are looking no better than the authorities in Aruba did.

  18. My feeling is that the longer it goes without finding a body, the more likely she was picked up (by whomever was in that white truck, for example) and taken away. If the kids tried to dump or hide her body, I doubt that they could do it in such a way as to elude discovery for over 2 weeks.

The longer a body is unavailable for examination, the less likely actionable evidence can be found (DNA under fingernails, drugs/substances in the body, indications that can pinpoint the time and/or cause of death, etc.)

Then we are left with waiting for a body to turn up (Jill’s didnt turn up for 3 years) and/or the perp or perps talking too much to people about what they did to her.

  19. Have they been checking landfills?

  20. I am saddened that a nursing student’s case is not getting the same efforts through national / international attention that this case is getting. Michelle Le was not out on the town partying, but at a hospital and on a quick break. So goes the stigma of American journalism. A young Vietnamese woman has not had the search efforts as this young blonde haired, blue-eyed woman. I could be wrong, but I don’t believe Michelle Le has ever received the attention of America’s Most Wanted either. http://www.examiner.com/missing-persons-in-national/large-scale-search-organized-by-michelle-le-s-family-need-volunteers

    • I’m not sure if Michelle Le was on American’s Most Wanted or not, but I read a lot of coverage of that disappearance in national news media, and the Herald-Times in Bloomington actually had an article about it as well (maybe a week or two ago?) It has received a decent amount of press from what I’ve seen.

    • I have seen quite a bit of media reporting on this sorry and I read that the police know with certainty that she was murdered by an acquaintance. It is very sad but her story doesn’t have the same intrigue as Lauren’s does so I can understand why it is not getting as much attention.

    • And findmarizela.com. She went missing just as mysteriously from Washington state a few months ago. She’s Michelle Malkin’s cousin.

  21. TonyGatto.com What about this angle? I have never heard this information about David Rohn. Arrested, bench warrant, was the individual out with Lauren? http://www.examiner.com/criminal-profiles-in-national/lauren-spierer-profiling-the-case-on-two-week-anniversary-of-disappearance

  22. If this witness is telling the truth and the time stamp is correct, then David Rohn’s story about receiving a call from Lauren @4:15, using Rosenbaum’s phone, is bogus.

  23. Netty, I think you’re wrong about the blonde hair and blue eyes drawing the attention. In Lauren’s case, it needs to be attributed to her family & friends who utilize social media – which is rather novel – and, therefore, drawing more media attention.
This might quite well change how missing person cases are handled in the future.

    • A, Michelle Le’s family has been diligent in trying to garner support. They have approached media, used Facebook, created fliers, and contacted Polly Klaus’ father. It is well known that our country pays more attention to the Natalie Holloways and Lauren Spierers than the plain jane.

      • In Michele Le’s case, the police have conclusively ruled that she was murdered, based on forensic evidence, interviews, and cell phone records. They say her assailant was known to her, and are trying to find her body. Sounds like they know who did it and are in the process of putting together the case for an arrest.

      • All I can say to this is don’t blame Lauren for being blonde and cute. She can’t help it that she fits the profile that “our country pays more attention to”. Of course we all want every missing person to be found, but it seems inappropriate of you to make it seem like a negative thing that she is garnering so much media attention. When Jill Behrman went missing there was a TON of press – both locally and nationally – and she did not fit the blonde-hair, blue-eyed, petite “mold” that you claim gets all the attention.

  24. Netty, what else is new. But please don’t make this a bad girl vs good girl case, i.e., partier vs nursing student. Personally, I think people should note all the good things happening with this search–its level of organization and involvement–instead of begrudging it. Geesh! The level of activity is media worthy, and maybe the parents are tied into some media muckety mucks.

    • Myrna, it is what it is. My interest in this case came from the fact that my beautiful blonde-haired, blue-eyed, petite twenty-three year old daughter went missing for a time back in 2007. I was drawn to this case out of compassion for the mother, knowing the sleepless nights. Fortunately, my daughter was found and is fine. My daughter fit the profile of Lauren in the party/social life so I am not judging Lauren here or implying she should not have coverage. What I am stating is that we have a media double standard in covering news. I said it earlier, my husband has been in television and radio advertising for over 25 years. It’s all about the audience “reach” and ratings. I would like to see more coverage of Michelle Le’s story so that her heartbroken father who has traveled from Vietnam to find her can have closure.

  25. I’m with Myna.

  26. I am absolutely mesmerized by the additional information provided on this site….I wish with all my heart that Lauren would be found quickly (no matter what).

  27. I appreciate the additional information that is coming out. I think we are all starting to get a better idea of what went on that night and what Lauren’s state of mind was. There have been a lot of accusations directed towards the men she was with that night, but if she got the drugs from them, then that might be all that they are guilty of. I am not trying to minimize what they did, but it is a much smaller crime than murder or a cover-up. This is looking more and more like an abduction.

I still think it is an incredible coincidence that Rossman was punched in the face by friends of Wolff’s that same night. There has also been speculation that she broke up with Wolff that night which could explain some of her behavior. Who knows, maybe this is just another day in the life of college partiers that had a tragic ending.

  28. I’ve been following this case very closely. As pointed out before, the truck in question looks similar to the truck at 2:22 of the youtube video posted below.

Also, if you look closely to the police surveillance photos of the vehicle in question, it look as if Lauren could be in the bed of the pick up truck. In maybe be a stretch, but I see blonde hair and a white shirt with a hand being extended.

    Just saying.

  29. Fear not, BPD is on the case…

    wait what..

  30. So thoughtful and professional for KILROYS SPORTS to throw Lauren out of the bar without her cell phone and shoes. Is this standard procedure? If this so-called source says she was simply thrown out, well now it ain’t so simple. Did Kilroys serve her during this 45 minutes? Then they threw her out? Nice.

P.S. I don’t like how how this source and the bar manager/witness and just now coming forward. Highly suspect but sounds of sighs of relief on the East coast.

  31. Perhaps Tony Gatto or someone else can confirm this for me. The Help Find Lauren Spierer – Missing From Indiana University page on FB has stated “Authorities found a video with Lauren in it at 4:30am. That has been known for quite some time.” I thougth the last known video of her was when she exited the alley at 2:51am?

    • Don’t see it. What post? Is it in a news article?

FACTS: No video has been released — just two stills of vehicle and one still of Lauren (take from video surveillance).

Police have acknowledged they are in possession of numerous videos of Lauren. They have said they see her on video leaving Smallwood and then again in the alley at 2:51.

Captain Joe Qualters told me — outside the briefing — when asked about a witness (Jason Rosenbaum) saying that he saw Lauren turning the corner onto College Avenue at 4:30am “We do not have corroboration of that.”

      • It’s in the comment section from a post s/he posted earlier today linking to the Fox 59 story about Friday being the 2 week mark in Lauren’s disappearnce. The lead-in to his/her post states that she was last seen at 4:30, I questioned that, my post was removed, others questioned it, s/he responded with what I posted above, and now I’m just really confused. It hasn’t been mentioned even as recently as the timeline released this week.

      • S/he now “stands corrected” as of about 30 minutes ago, stating it was indeed a witness account of her 4:30 sighting, not Lauren on video. For whatever reason, though, the admin has decided to wage war on those who disagree with what s/he posts and is removing posts left and right while blocking me entirely, it seems. Has me a little stumped, but so be it. Thank you for *your* response and for the digging you’re doing. You’re giving everyone new information to process and avenues to pursue.

      • Curious Tony regarding your comment:
“Captain Joe Qualters told me — outside the briefing — when asked about a witness (Jason Rosenbaum) saying that he saw Lauren turning the corner onto College Avenue at 4:30am “We do not have corroboration of that.”

Are they saying that they have video footage of that specific area at the same time Jason Rosenbaum says he watched her? Footage showing the absence of Lauren? I hope I worded that correctly.

      • NO NO No video at 4:30. What I take from Qualters statement is: Witness says he saw this and that at 4:30, but we just don’t know.” And Capt. said it kind of like he was making a point that it was not corroborated — which it’s not. You have to judge the credibility of the witness making the statement and judge it alongside the facts and evidence you know to be true.

      • Do we know if any businesses on College between 11th and 9th have surveillance cameras that were turned in? Was she just not seen or are there no cameras?

  32. Why won’t you address that your headline has nothing to do with the information in this story? You never address how she got kicked out or why. You aren’t a journalist, you are a sensationalist here to make money off of the ads on your website. Stop being so dramatic and start making sense if you want to earn credibility or respect.

  33. Netty – Mr. Gattos surely knows more, but I’ll try to answer that for you. I believe what Qualters is saying is, that all they have is Rosenbaum’s statement. No other witness can confirm that time or her supposed route. As best of my knowledge there is no video showing her absence.
If the bar manager’s statement is true, and there really is no good reason to believe otherwise, then Lauren would have not been able to walk off by herself by 4AM. Considering all the drugs, there simply is no magic recovery within an hour. Most likely not even with medical intervention. Let alone her heart condition.

  34. Oh, sorry, For some reason I recall a statement identifying Rosenbaum as said witness. Surely, with all the reading I got that wrong. That’s what happens when laymen start ‘thinking’.

  35. Are you here just to make money off of your site? I see a lot of advertising on each of your posts and know (because I too use wordpress) that you don’t have to have ads on it unless you are trying to make some money off of this terrible situation the Spierer family is involved in.

I saw your tweet about how many page hits you had. Are you here to make money and drive up the hits by making up unfounded truths?

    • Honestly…I have no idea what those ads are or how they got there. May I have at some time a long time ago signed up for some ad thing, yes. Maybe Google ad? But I have no idea even how to collect the money. But if I can make a few dollars that would be fine because of course I would like to be paid for the work I do as a journalist. I like to feed my family as you do yours. Considering I will be spending Father’s Day here and away from my 12-year-old daughter and 8-year-old son and since I know in my heart I am only trying to report the truth, I’m feeling okay about myself.

  36. Has it ever been reported, here or elsewhere, if anyone in the group at Rosenbaum’s other than Rossman and, presumably Lauren, was drinking/impaired? I ask because I keep seeing people like the rest of us who are trying to theorize what happened and are concluding that a “bunch of drunk kids couldn’t have done this.” Do we know that they were ALL drunk? I mean, we know that Mike Beth was supposed to be sober. But what about Rohn? Or Rosenbaum himself? And did he have a roommate(s) still in town at that time? Just thoughts that have run through my mind more than once…

  37. I don’t have a problem believing that intoxicated people can’t do that. In fact, I believe that being under the influence of anything makes it more likely for a scenario like this to happen.
Accidental ODs with college kids have happened before. Usually, the troubled person is put on a couch to ‘sleep it off’. The problem is, that everyone involved has a lot at stake if police/EMS are called for help. No more grants or scholarships, possibly expelled from frats/sororities, dealing with parents, criminal charges, etc.

Whatever happened though, Lauren didn’t just vanish. Somebody had to physically move her to somewhere. (I still don’t believe in a stranger abduction). So how was she moved? If I remember right, most of the ‘boys’ are from out of town. They couldn’t just call their cousin to pick up a package. Would they have the guts to drive themselves, considering the circumstances. So who would possibly do it? Drug dealers? Drug buyers? Anyone that was rough enough character wise and could possibly be bribed or intimidated …. ?

    • So many possibilities. And it seems like each theory just leads to more questions, which leads to more possibilities. It’s one big circle. I’m in complete agreement…I don’t put much stock in a stranger abduction. I feel like this is something that happened at the hands of someone she knew. I also feel like Hadar (?) is another person who has been less than honest in her statements and actions.

  38. Putting out bullshit stories to “feed your family.” Wow, now I get it.

    • I dont think thats the case. Everyone is tryin to pull out the details and get some idea as the what in the worl happened to Lauren. Her friends know more and i am sure the police know more but giving out to everyone. Does anyone have the link that went to JR facebook page? You cant see anything but pic and info but I wanted to see again and couldnt find it. Thanks!

  39. Tony, I am sure you have heard this already, but I have it from a very reliable source, that there is video in police possession that shows two men pulling at Lauren’s clothes/attacking her in the alley behind Smallwood. I am assuming they are p.o.i., if not, they the cops have some explaining to do for not making this public

  40. Mr. Gattos i believe there is another video (that the police got 3 days ago) that involves lauren and a black truck. talk to the maintenance workers at Elliot’s building at 10th and morton.

  41. he is the owner of the building. i”ll try to find out his full name. but the other day his maintenance works were talking about a video that they turned over to the police that showed staggering and something to do with a black truck. i know my details kinda suck but i thought if anyone could get any answers it might be you

  42. *showed her staggering

  43. the owners full name is elliot lewis

    • You’ve called the tip line about Elliot, right? To be sure the cops know about it. You cant just trust Elliot and the guys about that. Tell the cops man.

  44. I started reading this page thinking I was getting more, or better information. In reality There is no definitive proof that anyone was doing coke, or that there was an actual abduction. The only verifiable fact is that lauren is missing. I just want simple answers to simple questions. Has rosenbaums apartment and car been searched? Who had taken polygraphs and did they pass? What other video do the police have and why aren’t they showing it? Why didn’t the mystery witness or kilroys call police when they saw lauren in thr state she was in, if the statements on here are correct? Most importantly, where the hell is the white truck? I appreciate this website in bringing out new discussion, but I doubt the sources.

  45. The Bloomington Police ought to decide that they will not prosecute anyone connected to this case for drug use and announce that so that people will be more willing to come foward with information.

    • I believe this will ultimately be a case of the State of Indiana against said party(ies). I don’t know that they can make that blanket decision at this point. Laws are very complex and to waive the right to prosecute on certain charges could have implications down the road that are not beneficial to the victim(s) here. Moreover, I don’t believe they can charge someone for drug use or possession (so to speak) if they are not found in possession or under the influence at the time of interview/arrest. The issue here would be that of being a party of negligence or intentional harm resulting in injury or worse to Lauren.

  46. Questions:

1). Did she have her purse with her when she was at the 11th St apartments?

2).  Could it all be true?  Could she have left the first apartment and then wandered around the streets before going back to 11th street?  Which means the friends could be correct as well as the bar manager?

    3)  Did the friends hire attorneys because of the drugs, not because they were involved in her disappearance?

    • 1. Her keys and maybe a change purse were found in the alley. I never thought this was important.
      2. I think the notion of someone walking around in a stupor, talking to people, friends and strangers, incoherently is a good guess.
      3. Hiring of attorneys is a right and should not be viewed as guilt. Why did they hire attorneys? Because it is the prudent thing to do. There are allegations of drug use and rumors of drug dealing among this crowd.

    • That pouch Amin found belonged to one of them, but that purse never left the bar. I’d leave without my purse before my shoes.

  47. Tony – regarding the video in the alley with 2 men – check with a security guard at Smallwood – this guard does not know how to keep their mouth shut and has been talking it up

  48. This IU student Jewish community is too tight. Perhaps there is a more far-reaching story than the one that Lauren is missing. Perhaps there is a business/subculture here – bringing wealthy jewish kids here and selling them whatever they want. Smallwood has been the center for manufacturing fake id’s in the past….. Here is an article about Lauren’s “friends.” The group is TOO tight, dysfunctionally TOO tight. I can’t shake the idea that Jesse Wolff was actually in Lauren’s apartment that night – maybe Lauren didn’t go in because she was kept out…? Tamir/Jesse? Making Jesse okay with the fact that Lauren was sowing her oats? Biggest red flag of all – Jason Rosenbaum hires James Voyles.

    http://www.lohud.com/article/20110619/NEWS02/106190365/Closest-friends-school-between-searches-reflect-missing-college-student?odyssey=tab%7Ctopnews%7Ctext%7CNews

    • Jesse Wolff was actually Lauren’s that nigt

That’s wrong. Where are you getting that?

    • This comment borders on anti-Semitism. I am not Jewish but worked for a few years in a Jewish private school. Many Jewish kids have longstanding ties to each other because of summer camps, trips to Israel, shared congregations and charitable works, parent friendships, etc. To read some evil subtext into the fact that several of them are Jewish and they hung out together is ridiculous. And to suggest that Jesse Wolff was fooling around that evening with Lauren’s roommate in her own apartment is ludicrous and completely contradicts all known evidence and eyewitness testimony. You can’t just make stuff up and throw it out there. Stick to the facts and grow up.

      • Thank you, Callie! I went to a Jewish summer camp and continue to work there, this will be my 13th summer! I have traveled around the country, to Prague and Israel, lobbied on Capitol Hill and done many other amazing things with my camp friends through Jewish youth programs. I had a small network of camp/youth group friends out here when I started, and it was a wonderful thing! Camp friends are friends for life, and clearly Lauren’s camp friends mean a lot to her and vice versa. Quit looking for the most dramatic scenario, not everyone is guilty.

      • No, these kids are tribal. At least by Midwest standards. I thought the exact same thing all along, and their social media usage bears me out. There’s a large Jewish community in central Indiana, but nobody is organized or cohesive like these kids, not even within the same city, not at all. Most of the private schools are Catholic, too, and Jews and Hindus and everyone else mixes in. That’s every middle class neighborhood in Indiana. That is not normal ’round these parts.

    • I agree om the biggest red flag-Jason Rosenbaum hires James Voyles. Voyles is probably the most expensive and high profile defense attorney in the state. He represented Mike Tyson in his rape trial. Why do you need a lawyer like that if you were not involved/

  49. GRRR! Can we PLEASE just find her! Find Lauren and find ALL the answers to the questions above!!!

  50. I wonder if BPD at its briefing on Monday could be asked if they have searched landfills or whatever areas collect trash in Bloomington. (Does Bloomington use an incinerator?) I would also be interested to know what areas or types of areas have been searched, and how far out they go. (Morgan Monroe SF? Twin Lakes?)

  51. “This IU student Jewish community is too tight. Perhaps there is a more far-reaching story than the one that Lauren is missing. Perhaps there is a business/subculture here – bringing wealthy jewish kids here and selling them whatever they want”

YOU IGNORANT ASS. How could you say something like that? As part of the IU Jewish community I am offended and appalled. Granted there are wealthy Jewish kids here, but no less than wealthy kids from Chicago, Carmel and other places. Don’t make this about being Jewish you anti-Semitic POS. This is about Lauren and the people she associated with.

    • I’ve never been called anti-semitic, and that was definitely not my intention. I’m sorry. Twenty years ago I was a (Jewish) student at IU. I could count on one hand the number of Jewish students I met during that time.
Currently, I.U. is ranked 5th in public state universities (in terms of student population that self-identifiy as jews) with an approximately 10% jewish student population. (One out of 10 students is Jewish.) Keep in mind that IU is a state school and the state of Indiana’s Jewish population is .3% Clearly – most Jewish students at IU are coming from out of state and are paying out-of-state tuition (whether through scholarships or private funds). I don’t think this is a bad thing. I’m sure I.U. thinks its a GREAT thing!
I don’t care whether a student is Jewish or anything else, unless it puts them in a unique and vulnerable position.
I do not fault Lauren – what I worry, from a mother’s perspective, is that underage (under 21) kids leave the safety of home to live and party with other underage friends at IU because their friends are here and their parents are not. Underage kids with money who are far from home, who stick almost exclusively with other underage kids with money who are also far from home, who can afford to party rather than study – are easy prey for drug dealers and alcohol related opportunists. As Lauren’s roommate said, this group of friends was established BEFORE they arrived at IU! Another fact, in 2007 – a student living and operating out of a unit AT SMALLWOOD was arrested for manufacturing and selling fake ID’s. The ID’s cost $125. Business was booming….. I don’t think life at Smallwood has changed that much in 4 years…..
Wake up and smell the coffee!

  52. There is still too much missing and unreleased information for the public to put these pieces sufficiently together.

  53. Tony…I am interested in this case because there are so many similarities in Morgan Harrington’s case. If there was a sketch drawn up, can you tell us why it has not been released to the public yet? What would be the reason, if this information that you are receiving is correct, that the BPD would not release this information to the public. I WANT TO SEE THIS SKETCH. I would like to compare it to the sketch that has been released in Morgan Harrington’s case. Please email me privately if you would like to discuss this further.

    • It makes sense that they are not releasing this sketch I’ve reported on. I’ve said it before — the man the bar manager saw probably has noting to do with what happened to Lauren. What is important in that story is the time — 3:38am — and Lauren’s condition (sadly) which makes the 4:30am witness statement extremely suspect.

      • Added to the fact that there is no video corroborating the 4:30am witness statement, and the simple fact that if you are concerned enough about a petite female friend’s safety to want her to sleep on your couch rather than leave alone in the wee hours, you would not just walk her home, at the very least. It just defies all common sense.

      • Why would you think the man the bar manager saw probably didn’t have anything to do with Lauren’s disappearance? What would he have done with someone who couldn’t walk or open her eyes? This person seems to be the most likely to have something to do with Lauren’s disappearance, or at the very least, would have had to leave her helpless on the ground. Do you have more information about this man?

      • Why does it make sense and how could you say that this person who slung her over his shoulder, probably has nothing to do with what has happened to Lauren? How can you make that assumption? This “mystery man” is of great concern to me.

        Similarities in Morgan Harrington’s Case:
        20 years old,
        Blonde Hair,
        walking alone at night,
        On or Near University campus,
reports of her falling and hitting her head,
        intoxicated,
small personal items found left behind.

And now we have a story of a dark skinned guy slinging a vulnerable girl over his shoulder. We just can’t rule out that this could be a serial ACT. Are you familiar with this case Tony? Below is a link to a new article that came out right out the sketch was released in Morgan’s case.

        http://www.wtvr.com/news/wtvr-harrington-suspect-100701,0,7013535.story

      • It seems like the guy who slung her over his shoulder probably doesn’t have anything to do with it because one would assume if Rosenbaum says she left his apartment at 4:30 a.m. (and made the call to Rohn at 4:15 a.m.), she somehow made it to his apartment after the interaction with this mystery guy. Rosenbaum would have no reason to say she left at 4:30 if she was a) never there, or b) left earlier than that.

      • I TOTALLY get what you are saying, Tony. O.K., LS was wasted, sure. And some guy that was RANDOM as far as the bar manager was concerned may have been spotted with her at 3:38am. It could have been someone Lauren knew and this was an interaction in passing. In fact, police could have, by now, already questioned and exonerated that person (hypothetically) and eliminated the need to release the sketch. You guys aren’t thinking this through. The issue here is the story that “someone” (presumably JR because it was originally reported that way and yet never debunked by JR or his fancy lawyer) claims to have seen her walking towards her apartment at 4:30am. and THAT is not corroborated. Seems like it would have been a very easy lie to tell if he were needing to account for the hours between 3am-430am. ‘She was at my place, we were hanging out, and then she left. I watched her go. No idea what happened after that. Sorry, can’t help you.’ … ‘Ohhh, that curious 4:15am phone call? Well, sure, that was LS calling DR about her phone.”

  54. According to the new details Mr. Gatto reveals, this is how the revised timeline appears:

    - 12:30 am: she leaves her apartment to go to Rosenbaum’s with Rohn; sees Rossman there.
    - 1:46am: video shows her entering Kilroy’s bar. Witness alleges she was at Kilroy’s alone, but Rossman’s attorney says Rossman was with her. Witness says Spierer is thrown out 45 minutes later, leaving her phone and shoes. Video shows her exiting at 2:27am. If she is pouring her heart out about being high while at Kilroy’s, this means she probably accessed the drugs when meeting with Rohn or Rosenbaum.
    - 2:30am: video shows Spierer and Rossman entering her apartment complex. If she was alone at bar, this means she either ran into Rossman leaving the bar, or used phone prior to leaving bar to make arrangements.
    - 2:42am: video shows her and Rossman leaving her apartment complex. Some time between 2:30am and 2:42am Rossman and Spierer go to fifth floor, where Rossman gets punched.
    - 2:48am: video shows Spierer walking with someone in alley on 10th street between College Ave and Morton toward Rossman and Rosenbaum’s apartment complex. Video shows her exiting alley at 2:51am. This is where things gets cloudy: some say Spierer is seen with Rossman in alley. This goes along with Rossman/Beth’s statement that Spierer was escorting Rossman to his apartment on 11th and Morton, then left to Rosenbaum’s. Others say Spierer was seen with an unidentified person in the alley, which was someone other than Rossman.
    - 3:38am: Bar manager reports seeing a very inebriated Spierer leaving with an unidentified man (but not Rossman) at the corner of 10th and College Ave. There is a possibility that Spierer did indeed go to Rossman, and after leaving went back toward 10th and College (maybe to retrieve her phone/shoes at Kilroy’s?) where she ran into the unidentified man reported by bar manager. What is unlikely is that Spierer left Rossman’s, went to alley, then turned back toward Rosenbaum’s.
    - 4:14am: white truck seen going west on 10th, turning right on Morton
    - 4:15am: Phone call made from Rosenaum’s cell to Rohn’s; Rosenbaum claims Spierer made that call.
    - 4:24am: white truck seen again on 10th, but this time no turning on Morton.
    - Around 4:30am: Rosenbaum says he saw Spierer walk off at the intersection of 11th and College.

Two things jump out at me:
    1) Do the videos of Spierer at Kilroy’s show that she is alone?
    2) If the witness is correct about seeing Spierer leave the alley with an unidentified man at 3:38am, it casts doubt on Rosenbaum’s story. It is unlikely that Spierer walked off with the mystery man, and then went to Rosenbaum’s. It appears to me that either Rosenbaum is lying, or the bar manager is wrong.
    3) If the witness is correct, and Rosenbaum is lying, and mystery man is not related to Rosenbaum & co, why would Rosenbaum lie?

  55. Tony-really appreciate your honest reporting. If you don’t mind, could you share what you think the mystery is? In other words, do you think she was randomly abducted? Be it by the man seen by the bar manager or something in the white truck? How do you view the friends involved? Just curious about your opinion because i think you understand the facts better than me. thanks a lot, keep up the good work.

  56. Coke and Xanax don’t mix to the point where you’re slumped over like that. I’d say maybe Xanax and K, but not coke. This is also inconsistent with the video camera in the apartment. She seems alert there, hard to believe that she bumped coke a short while later and then was incoherent.

  57. [...] Lauren Spierer Was Thrown Out Of Bar — Alone — Not With Friend BLOOMINGTON, Indiana – Lauren Spierer was thrown out of Kilroy’s Sports Bar on the morning the Indiana University [...] [...]

  58. He would have a reason, if he wanted police to believe that Lauren made the phone call to David Rohn at 4:15 a.m. instead of him.

    • Exactly. What’s to say that call at 4:15 wasn’t Rosenbaum calling Rohn to say “Lauren left here, like, 45 minutes ago. She make it back?” His attempt at being chivalrous. Or his attempt to make police believe Lauren was still at his apt at 4:15 because a) he knew she wasn’t and b) he knew the police would be asking. Meanwhile, she’s stumbling around 10th & College doing potato sack impersonations with a dark-skinned stranger. Right now, what Rosenbaum says just doesn’t carry much weight with me.

      • If JR called DR to say that, why wouldn’t he tell police that? That makes no sense. It’s not a crime to let someone leave drunk (at least not that I’m aware of) and it seems it would behoove him to just tell the truth. “She left my apartment at 4:30am, inebriated” would make him look a total jerk but not necessarily like a criminal. What I’m wondering is if JR was involved in this foul play – or at least aware of it and concerned that his partying with this girl may have led to it – and called DR for assistance/advice/venting, whatever. And he needed to say 4:30am to explain the phone call. I think JR is far more suspicious than this eyewitness testimony of a mysterious man at 3:38am.

      • I agree with S. Letting a girl walk around on the street by herself is not a crime, so JR had nothing to ‘cover up’ if she left his apartment on her own. Now that the white truck has been cleared, it seems like the most plausible theory (or at least the only one the public knows about) is that one or more of those guys is responsible for her disappearance. Since JR claims to be the last one who saw her that night, he seems like the shadiest one right now.

Question – does David Rohn live in Smallwood? I am not sure I ever heard where he lived. If so, and if JR is being truthful in saying Lauren made that call, she might have been calling to ask him to meet her halfway on the street to walk her home or something along those lines…especially since she didn’t have her key.

Interesting to see that Hadar Tamir wrote a big “happyy birthdayy!!” on David Rohn’s Facebook wall today.

  59. This story is 100% not true and I know that for a fact. Kilroys has video of her that night and she was with Rossman and Was not kicked out.

  60. I think BPD needs to make sure their polygraph machine is really working.

  61. From my observation, “other, on June 19th, 2011 08:38 at 8:38 am said” has not had the lived experience of attending sleep away camp. I shared in this experience as a director for six years (and one that interacts with Spierer’s camp). The sleep away community creates a safe, nurturing environment in such a way that allows young people to continue to grow and learn to make simple choice. The environment is not easily replicated and that is for a reason. OTHER, may I suggest that you try to remove all context (social, cultural, political, and economical context) when speaking of young people (anyone under age 26) as young people do what young people do regardless of race, religion, family upbringing, history, lived experiences, etc. and will continue to do so. I hope that someday you too, may be provided an experience to gain friendships as beautiful as Lauren’s.

  62. Skeptical – For some reason I can’t reply directly to you, but from what was reported earlier, yes, David Rohn lives at Smallwood. Rosenbaum has said that Lauren was calling Rohn to see if he knew where her phone was. Why wasn’t she concerned about where her key was since her keys and purse/wristlet had been dropped in the alley on the way to Rossman’s?

    • Teri – thanks for the info, re: Smallwood.

The things Rosenbaum have said (that we know of) just don’t add up…I agree, she would have been just as concerned (if not more) about her keys/purse as she was with her phone. If I was personally looking for my phone, I’d probably call my own phone number and see if someone answered it rather than call a friend to ask him about it. Then again, she might not have been in the right state of mind to think that clearly. OR…Rosenbaum is lying about that call.

At any rate, Rosenbaum seems very suspicious to me.

  63. Has the boyfriend been interviewed by the police yet?

  64. I have an extremely hard time imagining that a girl that stumbles/ can’t walk/ hits her head falling down/ gets thrown over the shoulder of someone at 3something in the morning would be remotely capable of thinking about her phone/ calling someone about it/ trying to walk home less than an hour later. Doesn’t happen. Even if she would have only been consuming alcohol. It does NOT happen.

The bar manager’s story is credible. Stories after that – not so much.

  65. Things are getting weird. Why arent’ the police releasing the videos? Why are there discrepancies between two or more witnesses about what happened that night? What the hell is going on? STRANGE.

  66. It’s starting to me to sound like this Lauren girl was setup in some way by these guys. And this dark-skinned guy, who ever he is, was involved. Sounds like some kind of setup job to me. Strange.

  67. So you guys think that this Bar Manager’s account is not entirely accurate about seeing lauren thrown over the shoulder? What the hell was up with Corey Rossman smiling all the way to his car that one day recently. There is either a video or 4 or 5 pictures all showing him smiling at the cameras. WTF. Sounds to me like this group had all turned on Lauren before that night actually. Sounds like Rossman was involved in setting this girl up to be done away with. Very evil. Seems to me like the fact that she was not with Woff that night is VERY relevant. It represents and falling away from the group. The girl must have done

something to have pissed them off. Not sure what that could be. Just her fooling around too much? Cheating on Wolff? This group of people is evil.

    • Maybe they wanted to teach her a lesson by getting her completed wasted not thinking she might actually die? Just a thought.

Plus she was new to this group of friends (Rossman, et al) so maybe wanted to haze her into the group?

      Just throwing thoughts out there.

  68. I know first hand that people do conspire together sometimes to get someone. I’ve been conspired against before. It’s a nasty thing and really turns your world upside down. You don’t think 3 or 4 people are capable of all conspiring together like that but it does happen.

  69. I have read all these 5 pages of posts, and have been following this story since June 11. I am from Bedford, IN, and went to I.U. It seems to me that all the bickering is not doing much good — I do think that there has been some information made available that a lot of us hadn’t been privy to before. But, I really do have a lot of questions, and comments…
    1. Hadn’t heard that Lauren and Jesse broken up? Was she going out because of that? I read that he was watching the NBA finals? Makes sense… maybe she just wasn’t into it.
    2. Why would ANY bar “throw out” someone who was trashed? They used to make you stay put, drink coffee, and they called you a cab, or tried to call a friend to come get you. They have a responsibility for this…

    3. Rossman’s story is pathetic! I was not born last night – if he had had his “clock cleaned,” someone would have either had to take him to the E.R., or at least keep him up to make sure that he didn’t have a concussion!

    4. No “friend” would let another person (especially a cute girl that was wasted) walk home at the hour by herself! This just doesn’t add up, folks.

To add to all of this – I thought I read a statement by the BPD that their officers were in the habit of crusing that entire area pretty thoroughly at all hours. Where in the hell were they then == or, are there multiple cover ups going on?? Kilroys, the BPD, her friends…

My heart goes out to her family — how they can continue to hold it together is beyond me.

  70. Did they say if that guy has a mustache or not? I know someone that hangs out at that bar a lot and he’s definitely bad news… I didn’t think he had anything to do with it but that description is familiar.

  71. I am in college and i know what goes on… If everyone was stating that she was drunk, hammered, coked out, or WHATEVER she was on.. it doesn’t matter. i DOUBT she would be calling SOMEONE ELSE about her phone at 4:15am. MOST of the time, we college kids call the next day and sort our stuff out when we are sober if we are missing items.. people rarely call the same night/morning about their missing stuff if they are hammered/wasted… UNLESS they were still sober or buzzed, or maybe just a little drunk. But its pretty safe to say that Lauren was hammered and out of it and i can’t believe that she called to find her phone, let a lone SOMEONE ELSE. usually a person calls their own number first.

Lets think logically here… why in the hell would Rosenbaum hire such a high profile lawyer if he didn’t have anything to do with it. NOBODY does that UNLESS they had something to do with it. Duhh.

In college, you run into many people you know on or off campus… the guy who threw her over his shoulder could’ve been anyone… a stranger, another student, a friend, etc… and he either was trying to do one of two things, help her or harm her. There is not enough evidence released to the public to find out who the stranger was or what his intentions were.

What we do know is that she was with these group of boys that night and they all hired lawyers… thats a big red flag just right there. I do think these boys had something to do with it but of course are hiding it. No innocent person would need such a lawyer if he was innocent, because if he was innocent, the truth would speak on its own and he wouldn’t need such a person defending him.

These are the possible things I think could have happened to her:

    1. She was abducted by the mystery man that threw her over his shoulder and was taken to a different state, possible country.. and was either killed or is possibly still alive.

    2. the group of boys raped, then killed her, and is either hiding her body or disposed it somewhere.

    3. This is what i think PROBABLY happend. the group of boys that most likely gave her the drugs watched her die from overdose/heart failure (due to her condition) and then disposed her body somewhere because they were scared. (because why did rosenbaum call DR at 4:15?) i DO NOT believe that was lauren who was calling DR.

I definitely think there is a lot of lying especially coming from the group of boys.

Another thing that came across my mind… maybe police had something to do with it and that is why they don’t want to release certain evidence? Just because they are cops doesn’t mean they are trustworthy. A lot of cops lie, do drugs, and do criminal acts just as regular citizens do. So we have to keep that in mind also. You CANNOT trust anyone especially when it comes to things like this.

As for the lie detectors, that doesn’t mean crap. Some liars are better than others and some people lie naturally. Lie detectors are just machines that aren’t always accurate. If you’re not nervous when you lie or your body doesn’t react, then anyone can pass a lie detector test.

These investigators need to bust their asses and INTERROGATE the hell out of these group of boys until they confess or reveal new information. Something is not right when they hires these big shit lawyers if they are “innocent”.

Another important thing is the image of the white truck… the one shown here: http://www.indystar.com/article/20110616/LOCAL/106160396/Police-Timeline-shows-Lauren-Spierer-s-last-movements that looks like lauren sitting in the bed of the truck! you obviously can’t see the face, but anyone with eyes can see that it is a body sitting up, and has blonde hair and is wearing the same clothing/colors as Lauren. I believe that is her in the bed of the truck. They say its “equipment” but it looks like a blonde female sitting down.

The driver of the white truck could possible be the mystery man that picked lauren up. but does the driver have a connection or know the group of boys? or at least one of them?

Also – I found this really fishy http://www.wthr.com/story/14922685/bloomington-police-examine-timeline-of-missing-students-movements

“Police arrived early Friday outside Lauren Spierer’s apartment building, went inside, and emerged about ten minutes later. Eyewitness News Reporter Steve Jefferson said they were holding a brown paper bag, like an evidence bag. The bag was placed in one of the police cars. The officers left running their red lights and sirens. They gave no explanation for why they were there.”

    Hmmmm weird!!!!!!!!!!

    • One more thing… this could very well be a cover up by police officers committing crimes and then blaming other people. it happens more than you think. i dont know what or who to believe anymore.. our own government covers up so much crap and lies to us… and i wouldn’t be surprised of a police department did either. We need answers, we need the truth.

      • The police work with the cocaine dealers in Bloomington as it makes them a lot of money. Carl Salzman who is Rossman’s attorney would sell his mother for a 1,000,000 bucks. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s the one that took her body to some lab at IU to have her put into a vat of acid to dissolve her DNA. Indiana Universtiy, Kilroy’s and the Bloomington Police are all part of a cocaine running empire, and Luaren’s body was a problem, so the Bloomington Police are probably helping cover it up.

  72. Wouldn’t be surprised if this is what happened…. she OD’d on cocaine and died due to her heart problem. its a huge no no taking cocaine and drinking like that and being on xanax while having a heart problem as well as being that small of a person. lauren is really petitie. the boys got scared, and aren’t speaking up because they most likely gave her the drugs and don’t want to deal with trouble… the police get involved but help cover it up because they are all part of a cocaine/drug running empire. i do not believe the body is still in that town, unless they are hiding it in a house or building somewhere. otherwise i don’t think its anywhere else in that town. the police always cover cases up and lie to stay out of trouble… in this certain case it makes perfect sense. i think the boys obviously got scared that she had a reaction and probably died, so they all got lawyers. it was wrong what they did but i’m just assuming thats what happened.

always remember… reality is merely an illusion. don’t believe what you always hear… just look at the facts and evidence, and try your hardest to piece it together.

to me, i think that could easily be Lauren sitting in the bed of that white truck, but the police are probably covering it up and saying its equipment. i have eyes and in the clearest photo i could i find of that truck image, it looks like female body sitting in the bed of the truck, with blonde hair and the clothes she was wearing. i mean, come on… what are the chances that the “equipment” almost exactly resembles an image of lauren.. and at around the same time she was out walking around. are you guys stupid?? this definitely looks like a cover up. i know its not a high quality picture of the truck, but anyone that has eyes can easily tell that its lauren sitting back there. i’m not buying that equipment BS. the police definitely know something.

  73. Something that has to do with cocaine and drugs. A lot of them are corrupt.. What i thought was weird was how they said in the tapes that the truck was seen twice, then they changed their story and said it was a mistake, and that the truck only passed by once. it just looks to me like a blonde girl is sitting in the bed of that truck. it doesn’t look like “equipment”, people are lying and JR is def. hiding something. she barely knew some of those guys in the group and the boyfriend wasn’t around. they could have easily taken advantage of her while she was under the influence and then killed her. or OD’d and died. either way they still had something to do with it. a drunk hammered person doesn’t call someone else for their phone, they call their number first. i believe JR made that call at 4:15. she still could’ve been at his place after 4am and maybe jay isn’t lying… maybe she was still there, she OD’d and died… jay panicked and then called DR, then DR came and picked up the body at 4:30. thats also a possibility.

    • someone who knew jay said “jay is dumb. jay is very dumb. jay is a great liar.” he could have easily passed a stupid lie detector test.

  74. Coke wakes you up…it sobers up the alcohol effect. I say this from prior experience; I’m a recovering addict of 20 yrs. Coke would not knock her out, it would make her more alert. Just sayin’….

I know nothing about this case, just heard the news and google brought me here, it reminded me of Morgan…the similarities to the Morgan Harrington case and the proximity, are very intriquing.

  75. Check out the Google map…the county where Morgan was found is JUST off the highway, as is Bloomington.
